I call myself Erin Earthling because I see myself as a direct descendent of Earth Herself. If it is a human custom to name ourselves after our ancestors, why not go back to the original source of all bodily existence?

I also take the perspective "I am Earthling". In a sense I am saying : I am you : You are me : I am yours : You are mine : we all belong to-with each-all. What happens to me, effects you, and what occurs to you will reflect back to me. My understanding of life begins with the framework of co-existing, co-evolving interdependence. Pulsing and mutating along-wise and beside-through each-all in an ever eternal existential.

And so naturally, Earthling.
